Music study today.

I practiced today exploring the 12 bars. I also practiced my right hand work. I am trying to even out the use of my two fingers to be more even rather than depending on only one finger. The thumb is my default. I also bought some picks when I bought the five string bass. I sound quite good with a pick. I am very quick with a pick.

Also today I installed and used Lily Pond music notation software. I explored some example files from the documentation.

I also worked on my bass practice spreadsheet and have now decided that I need a computer folder to organize the songs so that I can store MP3's of the songs as originally recorded and also store versions of myself playing them. The best software tool for this would be a web page and html. So I need to save my practice spreadsheet as html. Rather I will convert the spreadsheet to text.

The bass rig and its money value....

I rented my bass rig out again last weekend and the weekend before that. I have now gained 150$ renting it out. The total cost for all the rig was around 2000$ including cables. So it has paid for about 7.5% of itself. Also the person using it is now interested in buying it. Someone else who heard it is also interested in buying it. I discussed this with the guy who played with it. My career vision for myself would not be served well with this sale, as I see myself playing music for fun in my future ten years from now.
